b4 u read, this post is genuinely hw i feel... frm d bottom of my heart
when we were 1st formed in january 2004, en route was unsure if Slyz was d right group to merge me esp when we never met or talked to each other... n i'm sure Slyz feels d same way.... If it wasn't for Phat n Taj hu knew each other in 2003, en_route@SLYZ would have never existed.... we merged just for the sake of wanting to join Danceworks 2004.... it was realli amazing hw fast we click.... n once we met.... we talked like we know each other 4 like a few yrs...
en_route consisted of Taj, Watie, Zaihar, Winnie n me.... Slyz consisted of Syuara, Phat, Norisa and Sarina.... For Danceworks, Sarina, Winnie n initially Taj could not make it... so there was just the 6 of us.... Bt afta much persuasion, Taj joined.... we practised almost evry single day... we practised real hard... We didn't have as much problems as we have nw....Bt it was all worth it.... We emerged as Champions in d Open Category....
But eversince we won Danceworks'04, things were never the same again... we never practised as hard as we used to... we avoided arguements so we just gave in to whoever has n idea... we tooked things so lightly....
We performed for at Ritz Carlton... we simply combined our Danceworks prelims n finals item... i saw NRA for the 1st time and i personally thot dey were horrendous... i thot to myself dat tis is a grp dat we will have no difficulty in beating.... BOY i was wrong!!! they improved tremendously!!!
Den we performed for d Street Festival... again winnie couldn't make it... Sarina on the other hand, learnt all our past choreographies n performed wif us... dat was probably d only time Sarina performed wif us.... Eh no... she performed wif us again 4 Chingay...tis yr....
Den has one performance 4 Tampiness East CC....
In between was Kreatif Ria 2004.... it was so last minute... we decided to join one day before the competition prelims n we practised a few hours b4 d prelims.....
Finals was abt 2 months after Street Fest....We made it to finals.... delighted yes... deserving, i don't tink so.... We started practise ard 2/3 weeks b4 finals... we decided to change d whole of our prelims item... tried to b different and added malay touches to our item.... bt it didn't work.... we were all hoping n tinking dat we did better den d other grps bt when d results were out.... jeng jeng jeng..... it crushed our morale big time....
we had ard 2/3 weeks of rest b4 practises for Suntec Comp started... Winnie finally could join us.... Taj couldn't due to personal reasons....Watie also couldn't make it due to exams... Phat went M.I.A....so we had to borrow Hafiz frm 45th Street.... we practised.... n practised.... n i knew we cldn't make it 4 finals bt i tried to tink positive.... bt my instincts were right... we didn't make it n NRA made it..... dey were deserving... seeing how much dey improved really impressed me bt being a competitor myself, i was sore.... hw i wished we could be like them.... cause i thot our progress d whole time was juz monotonous while other grps has improved..... Individually, we have improved bt as a grp......
den we had sum performances for Yellow Ribbon Project n Tampines East CC sumore....
soon the fasting month came n so did another competition....Mountbatten Street DAnce comp.... we fasted on d day of d comp.... we fasted on d days on practises.... actualli we onli practised after break of fast.... haha.... well we competed wif Lil Dopez n SDC n etc.... we thot we did good to win at least 2nd bt we lost to a grp we all agreed were lousy n ended up 3rd.... again we were dissapointed.....
den we had more performances.....n more performances....until we joined Chingay Talent Quest... collabo wif SDC.....was great fun..... den we had a competition call Da Groove... which was supposed to b held at Planet Paradigm.... or was it Queenz??? anyways, bottomline was dat we were conned... n so did a few other grps.... 4 tis comp, we sacrificed our nights n had overnight practises 4 d 1st time.... owel... at least we got our money back....tis was way back in march....
we had performances in between.... until june.... Marc Ecko Watches HipHop Dance Comp.... Me,Watie, Taj n Delly....Delly joined us 4 a lil while....strut our stuff... made it to finals.... remix prelims.... de next day same item, same ppl+sue... also qualified for finals.... den heard sumting shocking abt tis.... shattered our hopes even more.....
dats wen our big troubles began... ended up 4 wif just 4 ppl 4 remix finals(me, taj, watie n norisa).... haiz....
Nevertheless, i will treasure all these times i have spent wif all of you.... sum of us might still b dancing... sum of us won't.... bt i'm very glad to say dat even tho we're nt in d same grp anymore, we still meet up n talked juz liked we used to....n we even cheerd dem on wen dey joined wif another grp or watsoever..... i'm very happy bout dat...
u ppl have made a great impact in my life and i will never forget dat.... my life would hv been very much different n dull if u ppl didn't come n color it.... i will remember dat 4eva....

Elfy, Salem n Sara 4 all d make-up help... Smash D'Crepez, Nurul, Shai 4 d collabo wif us 4 Chingay.....thanx alot guys....
b4 i leave, i wld like to say thnx 4 all d great memories, sorry 4 all d troubles dat i've caused n good luck in all your future endeavours.... love all of you...
